Viagra Connect dosages
You can only get Viagra Connect in a 50mg tablet. If you need a higher (100mg) or lower (25mg) dose, sildenafil or Viagra contain the same active ingredient. However, you’ll need a prescription for these medications.
The dose of sildenafil or Viagra will depend on your age, height, weight, and the cause or severity of your ED. Taking a higher dose can increase your chance of experiencing side effects. One of our clinicians can recommend a safe and effective dose for you to take.

Viagra Connect warnings
Grapefruit juice may affect how well Viagra Connect works, so it’s best not to drink it within 24 hours of taking the medication.
It’s a good idea to have a health check-up with your doctor when you start taking Viagra Connect, ideally within 6 months. That way you can make sure your ED isn’t being caused by an underlying health condition.

Viagra Connect drug interactions
You shouldn’t mix Viagra with any other ED medications as you could experience unwanted side effects and stop the treatment from working. It’s not safe to take Viagra if you’re already taking certain other medications. These include:
- Nicorandil or nitrates, such as GTN spray
- Isosorbide mononitrate tablets, which are used to treat angina
If you’re using alpha-blockers like doxazosin or tamsulosin, wait at least 6 hours between a dose of those and taking Viagra Connect.
